Daughter of a long-distance sea captain, Sophie Riviere grew up to the rhythm of seafaring tales and, very early on, found in the piano a refuge and a language, an inner shoreline from which her first notes emerged.
Her compositions, gentle and tinged with nostalgia, are soundscapes nourished by childhood memories, the light of the salt marshes, and the shifting skies of the island. Through them, she evokes the fragile beauty of the coastline and whispers, without words, a call to preserve the oceans.
Sophie often performs outdoors, on the beach or in the heart of the marshes, where silence and the elements become her concert partners. For her, this dialogue between music and nature is essential: a way of inhabiting the world with delicacy.
